Village Attractions
The Village of Elmore was recently honored with a Tree City USA flag commemorating the Village's 25 years as a Tree City USA. The Flag can be seen displayed in Town Hall on Rice Street.

The village has several parks and scenic venues when visiting. The following are nature related areas in Elmore in alphabetical order:
Depot Park: Located on Ottawa Street with the North Coast Inland Bike Trail passing by, the park hosts a majority of the town events, including the Portage River Festival, the Tombstone Derby, and Grubs and Suds. The Historical Society Barn is nearby and there is abundant parking.
North Coast Inland Trail: This bike trial is a great public resource currently covering 28 miles. The south-eastern point begins in Bellevue and follows the old railroad track through Clyde, Fremont, Lindsey, and then ends in Elmore. It is open year long for walkers, runners, bikers, skaters, and strollers. Motorized vehicles are not permitted.
Veteran Park: This park is dedicated to all of our veterans who have served for our country and community. It offers a bench, 3 flags, and a memorial post.
Riverbend Park: This park has playground equipment and soccer fields located next to the Portage River.
Schedel Gardens: Schedel Gardens is a nationally recognized arboretum that hosts floral beds, an extensive bonsai collection, various trees and tropical gardens, as well as a museum and art gallery. For more hours, admission, and more information click here.
Sugar Creek Golf Course: Golf enthusiasts have enjoyed this 18 hole golf course since 1963.
Walter Ory Park: On the corner of Rice and Ottawa St resides a beautiful park with a playground, benches, basketball court, restrooms, grills, shelter, and a portion of North Coast Inland Trail. (Abundant parking).
Well Park: Located behind the Woodmore High School, this park provides three baseball diamonds, a basketball court, a soccer field, a playground, a shelter house, and benches. A tennis court is available beside the school within walking distance behind the schools parking lot. Parking available. The village fireworks usually take place here.
Witty Park: Located at the junction of SR-51 and the Portage River, visitors to Witty Park will enjoy scenic views of the river and historic bridge. It hosts a gazebo, picnic tables, and a BBQ pit.
